JLH was tasked with understanding and promoting the museum-quality nature of Shiprock’s retail space: Native American textiles and jewelry of significance, vintage furniture, clothing and other finery. The owner, a fifth-generation dealer in rare Native American art and artifacts, grew up near the Navajo Reservation and has a finely honed eye for meaningful clothing, jewelry, blankets and rugs, which required that JLH seek and secure editorial coverage that matched the shop’s level of historical significance, beauty and refinement.
