PUBLIC RELATIONS + BRANDING BY
Jennifer Hobson-Hinsley
Public relations with heart and soul
I began my work at a boutique agency that serviced clients in the West and Southwest in 2005, largely in the tourism sector. In 2008, I was appointed to the New Mexico Tourism Department as Deputy Secretary, where I launched the country’s first statewide ecotourism program in an effort to promote and protect the cultural, historic and recreational significance of New Mexico’s incredible landscape and people.
Overseeing the national and international PR efforts for the state set the stage for me to open JLH Media in 2011, where I began to specialize in travel and hospitality, art and real estate. I have had the great honor of working on the promotion of historic moments such as the record-breaking auction of Georgia O’Keeffe’s paintings, the largest real estate transaction in the state of Montana, and representation of long-lived and important organizations such as the Southwest Association of Indian Arts (SWAIA).
I bring heart and soul to a client’s strategy, not just bringing solutions, but allowing time and space for conversations that develop into brand innovation across the board. I always think of myself as a brand ambassador, and that means beyond media relations but in all spaces, and in the community at large. After 16 years in New Mexico, I moved to Bend, OR with my family in 2018.
